The role of teachers in the new millennium has become multifaceted and challenging. Teachers are nation builders. They cultivate social moral, and spiritual values in students. They work as facilitators for social transformation and develop in children nationalism and internationalism; prepare them to be a global citizen; develop in them self-learning skills and ICT skills and develop in them high emotional and spiritual quotient.

To play this role effectively we at the R.P.S. Teacher Training College of Education strive to equip the teachers with the appropriate knowledge, habits, attitude and values. One should not only develop the necessary competency as a teacher but also have a desire for life long learning and for reaching the unreached.

With this mission our institution endeavours to instil in the students the urge to be creative and innovative inspiring the student fraternity to strive for equity an social justice. It also develop the spirit to take the real world issues and the potential to transform them into teachers of tomorrow. Our endeavour is not only to make them good teachers but also to make them better individuals and citizen s thereby sharing the responsibilities of building strong pillars of the nation.

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all in our grand initiative to create quality built teacher training institute as a noble contribution for the society. The motivation to establish in the institute in Bihar has come chiefly out of two observations:

1. Lack of well educated trained teachers who can ignite the young minds harness the potential of youth for the benefit of the humanity and act as a catalyst to bring positive change in society.

2. Huge employment opportunities for trained educated youths in academic institution across the state and the country as well.
